Project, Client & Related Service

Roll-On / Roll-Off (RO/RO) Vessel Operations

Siemens RAPID Pipeline Project – for Dudgeon and Race Bank Offshore Wind Farm Projects.

TDL Ltd was chosen as the preferred supplier of Stevedoring Services for the RAPID Pipeline Project, a joint transportation partnership between Siemens Wind Power A/S & Deugro Denmark A/S. We provided Supercargo, Labour and Equipment to assist in the unloading of the import shipments of Nacelles and Tower sections.

Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm Project – Circa 130 x Siemens, 3.6 MW turbines with 48m blades and circa 55 shipments in total.

Gwnyt y Môr was a very unique project as it was the first offshore wind project in which all of the turbines were transported by the use of RO/RO. Blue Water Shipping was awarded the transport contract from Esbjerg, Denmark to Mostyn in the UK.

The project scope included agency and stevedoring at both ends of the supply chain with the latter being handled in the Port of Mostyn by BlueWaterDanbrit UK, a joint venture between Blue Water and Danbrit.

Working in close co-operation with Siemens; new machinery, equipment, specifications, procedures and associated Risk Assessment & Safe Systems of Work were developed to handle this unique project.

Stefan H. Mougaard, Marine Operations Manager, Siemens Wind Power Limited

In respect to correspondence from Clark MacFarlane (MD - Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy) praising all concerned for the successful completion of Dudgeon Installation “Thank you all very much too, your contribution is tremendously appreciated".

John Shaw, Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Limited, Hull

SBO has been very satisfied with the services of Danbrit Shipping Limited. Danbrits dedicated staff excellently connected with local vendors, were simultaneously able to introduce Swire Blue Ocean as the relative new player in UK Offshore Wind to these contacts, which has proven pivotal and invaluable in aiding SBO to execute our projects to the satisfaction of our clients. We gladly recommend this company as a smaller, hence very efficient and swift acting team, very much able to flow seamless into any large scale and challenging offshore project.

Niels Ebbe Folkmar (Logistics Manager) Swire Blue Ocean (SBO) - West of Duddon Sands Project

Since moving over to the Marriott Drilling Ltd purchasing department, the service I have received from Danbrit has been nothing short of exceptional. We could not wish for more patient understanding and knowledgeable staff. The communication and detail passed onto our company is second to none.

We, Give Goodwind UK, would like to thank you for your prompt courteous service and we would have no hesitation in recommending your company. An excellent company with important personal service. Prompt, courteous and personal service provided to calls and e-mails. Competitive prices with jobs carried out at short notice. Your company has stepped up to the mark and has completed our jobs with little to no notice.

Jo-Anne Milligan, Goodwind UK Ltd – Various Onshore Wind Farm Projects

Thor Shipping & Transport UK Limited (TST) has provided a friendly and professional service to both SSAB and our customers with accurate information supplied in a timely manner. The above supports SSAB and our reputation in the UK Steel market.

Mark Jeffrey (UK Manager special Steels) SSAB

We were struggling to get the crane/stevedoring availability over the weekend which was imperative for our client. Thor accommodated the needs of the client very quickly on a weekend, which ensured the client was able to continue with the offshore project they were engaged in. Very positive feedback from the client as we were the only region able to accommodate their vessel (they had tried both Great Yarmouth and the Tyne without any luck at the weekend). It certainly bodes well for future jobs/projects.
